Full & Immediate Caller ID
PhoneBOX captures caller ID information from all incoming lines. You can see who is calling even before you answer the call. If the caller has any kind of history, you are made aware the second their call starts ringing.

Real Time Information and System Status
At the heart of PhoneBOX is a powerful networked visual talkback system, seamlessly integrating and associating caller information with call handling. PhoneBOX will automatically detect if a caller hangs up and refresh the display. Never again will you go to a caller, only to find they are no longer there.
Automatic Caller Databases
PhoneBOX has fully integrated caller databases. All new incoming calls are added to the database by default. You can enter address and other details for prize winners.The system can then prompt other staff to dispatch prizes. Any caller’s history is available at the touch of a button, advising of their last few appearances on the station.

Silent Transfer
With PhoneBOX there is no clunks or clicks as calls are routed to air. This means that your telephone hybrid channels can be left open on the desk while you drag and drop callers onto the hybrids on screen. The audio appears instantly, as if by magic!

Intelligent Routing
The ‘route’ function and context intelligent clicking mean you can hold and route callers with a single click. Juggle callers with drag and drop, or click any device and any caller to make an instant route. Click, click, that’s it!

‘Answer Next’ and Call Dumping
When screening calls, PhoneBOX answers to a handset or hybrid with a single click. Select a line to answer, or use ‘Answer Next’ which steps through ringing calls in sequence. PhoneBOX can hold the previous caller or dump and clear the line automatically. Stepping through dozens of calls during busy competitions has never been quicker.

Call Timers on All Lines
For every line, PhoneBOX provides you with information on how long they have been holding, how long thay have been routed to a hybrid and, initially, how long their call has been ringing for. The timer automatically resets everytime you change the state of the call.

Complete Control of Multiple Lines and Numbers
PhoneBOX not only knows who is calling, it knows what number they dialed. You can allocate and route multiple lines between studios, taking control of different line groups for different shows. PhoneBOX clearly displays and labels complex combinations of lines and also allows you to dynamically control your incoming line capacity. Busy or close some or all lines, divert lines to voice mail or another location.
Intuitive Design
Because PhoneBOX is PC based, you can see exactly what is happening on-screen. You can define the colours and labelling used. Ringing lines, held lines, hybrids and your screening handset are all easilly distinguishable.
Touch Screen Compatible
There’s no need to clutter your studio areas with yet another mouse and keyboard. PhoneBOX works perfectly on a touch-screen. Built-in intelligence means PhoneBOX knows what you’re likely to do next, reducing the number of steps.

DTMF / Tone Capture
PhoneBOX can scan multiple lines held on hybrids for DTMF originating from the caller’s handsets. In a live contest your callers can ‘buzz-in’ using their keypad. PhoneBOX tells you who was the first on the button, however close it was!
Shout Lines
PhoneBOX allows you to route some or all of your incoming line availability to voicemail. Callers can leave messages which are then Emailed as “.wav” files to the studio for play-back or editing on your PC based audio or news system.
Talk-back to Callers
In talk-back mode you can talk to held callers with a single mouse click. Just enter talk-back mode, and then click and hold on the caller you want to talk to.

Dial Without a Handset
PhoneBOX takes the strain out of live call-outs. Simply enter the number on screen using the keyboard or touch screen, or select a previous caller from the phonebook, and then hit dial when you’re ready to go. The call is silently dialed on a telephone hybrid and ready immediately to go to air.

Dockable Taskbar
The PhoneBOX screen is dockable. This means that PhoneBOX doesn’t need its own screen and can easily be shared with studio Email or web browsing for example. In docked mode, PhoneBOX shrinks down to an interactive toolbar giving you status and control of every line while leaving most of the screen free for other applications. When you want PhoneBOX full screen again simply undock it!

Call Counter
PhoneBOX counts all incoming calls, both answered and unanswered so you can quickly gauge the relative success of your phone-in or competition. Reset the count whenever you you like.

Call Queuing / Line-up
You can renumber held calls and then step through them one by one automatically in that sequence. This is designed for competitions where you have identified the winner but want to take a number of wrong answers first.
Call Conferencing on a Single Hybrid
PhoneBOX allows you to form a conference on a single hybrid made up of multiple callers. This feature is intended for situations where you want to be able to talk to a number of people simultaneously and do not have enough hybrids to have each caller on a seperate device.
Take Control From Anywhere in the World
Because PhoneBOX is IP-enabled you can control it from anywhere in the world using the internet or dedicated lines of your own. This is ideal for outside broadcasts and means the team at the OB can view exactly the same caller information that the team back at the base can see.
Interactive Capabilities
Using our optional extra voicemail and interactive voice response tools, PhoneBOX can become a live vote management system. Your callers can step through a menu structure using their keypad to register votes and even leave you a message. You don’t have to answer a single call!
